100% electric and Catalan boats: another step towards nautical decarbonisation
As part of the 37th America’s Cup, the Barcelona Capital Nàutica Foundation (FBCN) has presented the ‘Decarbonisation of pleasure craft’ project with the aim of improving the competitiveness of the Catalan nautical sector and making it a global benchmark for decarbonisation and electrification.
For months, the teams of Electric Inside, Magonis Boats, Marcelo Penna Yachts and Zephyr Boats have worked to make six boats a reality that will sail during the America’s Cup. The aim is to show the world the innovative and technological potential that Catalan shipyards have to build electric boats and manufacture systems to recharge them.
